Hi there. I was there this past December for the first few days of the month. I'm a skinny chick, and I found it a bit chilly. Very windy, and I ended up playing volleyball most of the day to maintain body heat. The sexy pool was too cold for me, and for most people.

However, there is a great group that is at the resort at the beginning of December. I suggest you post your question on the Chaos Crew Chat thread, as some people on there have gone several years in a row and they can tell you more about the usual weather in early December.

As soon as you exit the airport...before you grab the bus, there is a small booth that sell nice cold beer... We always grab 2 each for the ride to the resort...I think that you guys are on the same flight arriving on the 17th at noon...perfect time for a cold one!

 

We just got a GoPro Hero that we took to Cancun last month with the kids. Took it on the parasail and it is fantastic. It is about the half the size of a pack of cigarettes and a little thicker. It shoots ful HD video and takes photos. It is in a waterproof case that attaches to different clips. My buddy runs races with it and it is amazing to watch. I have a chest stap and a float attachment for the water. The chest strap is good for activities, skydiving, snorkling, motorcycle, ect. I am worried about taking it to TTR pool, don't want to look like a lurker. It is awsome to have around the water though.

 

If you bring tobacco into Mexico; be careful how much you bring in. Last fall Hugh had too many cigars, more than what is allowed, and he was hauled away, we had no clue what was happening to him they iust took him away, anyway in the long run after about an hour delay he had to pay more in taxes for the cigars than he payed for them in the US ! Never in all these trips have we had a problem with bringing any thing into Mexico

 

Great tips-Thanks to all! We are obsessesed with counting the days down until our arrival on April 23! We spent the day shopping for the wife for the trip. My favorite moment of the day.....asking the over the top-fake nice woman at the clothing store if they carried anything more slutty.....and her eager "oh yes, be right back" reply! It was a good shopping trip!

 

As "newbies" to TTR may we ask a question?

Our normal drink of choice here in the UK is Vodka and Red Bull, our question is......is Red Bull available at the Bar, if not do they do a similar energy drink?

 

Vodka yes.......I'm thinking your going to have to buy your own redbull.....:huh:

 

Love vodka and red bull. We might have to pack some in an extra suitcase!
