@ScubaSteve stated that he has never seen more than 1-2%, and he is seasoned TTR vet. I'm sure if you tracked attendance throughout the year you would see an occasional spike in single female visits, but the raw, summary level data seems to suggest that TTR is not a haven for single ladies. I don't think Spring Breakers would necessarily flock there either. There are definitely other places that are more conducive to the fiscal limitations of college-aged vacationers.
And I would probably have to agree with Scuba Steve's statement, but I'm not really there to count how many single ladies are there and do the math on the percentages, I'm too busy having fun to do that with who ever is around me at the time. T
For a variety of reasons, I'm pretty sure single ladies would generally prefer going to a resort that was NOT primarily couples.
I think another factor is the interest of the single lady demographic. Single ladies know they can find single males and adult fun wherever they go. So they don't have to seek out a place that caters to those aspects. They rather spend their vacation dollars on being pampered first. The majority of single lady groups go to the places with the nice spa, nice beach, top dining. Single males (generalizing here) don't care about nice spa, nice beach, top dining and are more focused on the spring break for adults style that TTR brings. Interests drive more males to TTR than females. That being said each trip has been different for us. We have had visits where the ratio of single guys to girls was maybe 25:1. We also had a trip where there were two groups of girls from the UK on 'hen parties'. On that trip there were more single girls than single guys. We have had trips where there were more single guys than single girls but the single girls were more interested in the couples than the single guys. End result is we all have a small sample size to go off of and each week is different. If your entire goal is to hook up with single females then TTR may not be the right fit. If your goal is more around having a great time in a great environment and if the hook up happens then great, but if not no big deal, then TTR sounds like the right fit.
Lol if you're going there looking for single ladies, it's possible I suppose, but more likely to join the long list of disappointed unicorn hunters Singles are always welcome(provided they aren't acting like predators) but honestly the majority are couples, mixed with some single guys, with the even rarer single female.
Jen & Kyle I was about to type a very similar post. . My 21 year old plus daughter definetly would prefer being spoiled and pampered with a spa and sauna and fancy restaurants on her vacation . When I was in my 20"s, show me the party, alcohol and topless women and an opportunity to hook up!!
@Jen&Kyle LOL...by your rationale, I clearly must be a woman trapped inside of a man's body. That's exactly what I look for in a vacation. I am all about the amenities. I'm not a big drinker, so 24 hour libations don't really do it for me. I can find women; that's why I said I never spend 100% of my time on a resort. For me, the resort is nothing more than homebase. However, I don't necessarily want to be surrounded by "thirsty" single guys who act like they have never seen a pair of tits before, and the incessant flirting from unavailable pair bonded women gets tiresome after a while.
I feel like this is a great assessment as to why you don't have groups of them. IMO when we do see the single ladies they seem to be brought by friends, or they previously were in a relationship where they had been to TTR with a partner, but now are single and are fine with going alone. I have a friend and she just went on a trip to breathless with 9 girls (not all were single), they were looking for exactly what Kyle described, and if they wanted men, I am sure they wouldn't have had a problem. Their priority was each other, so if one girl in the group was opposed to TTR, none of them would have went. You don't normally see a group of girlfriends where 5+ of them are all wild and would maybe want to be unicorns. Those numbers in general are much smaller, so if single ladies that would travel together are attracted to TTR, then their group is probably 2. Which makes the overall percentage much smaller, because there are only groups of 2 or 3 ladies sprinkled here and there.
Well we like those places too. But that is definitely NOT why we come to TTR. Many better options for those amenities. In fact we started limiting our TTR visits and started focusing on Desire and other places because we 'wanted our cake and to eat it too'. To have the fun but also the amenities. We are hopeful that the new TTR will give us both. Will be fun to see how it plays out.
That is true. Anytime a place does a wholesale renovation and rebranding, it attracts folks who might not ordinarily go (myself included). That may change the tenor of the place to the dismay of the veterans of the old TTR, but it might breed an entirely new line of regulars. Only time will tell. That's why I am going before the new car smell wears off.
