South of the Border is on I-95, right on the NC/SC border. You can't miss it, there are signs for hundreds of miles in either direction "Pedro Sez this" and "Pedro Sez tha".... It's just a glorified truckstop/tourist trap actually. You can buy fireworks, fruit, and cheap cigarettes there. I believe they have other touristy stuff and some games, and a ferris wheel. But it's really just somewhere to stop when you're heading somewhere else. I lived in Florida and Atlanta for a total of about 11 years, and did the drive up and down the east coast about 30 times. It's quite the sight when you're about a mile away... everything is lit up, and there's a huge sombrero lined in fluorescent lights on a tower way up in the sky... and other lit sombreros and such all over the place. visit www.pedroland.com Pedro's Motor Inn has 300 gorgeous, spacious and southern comfortable rooms at down-to-earth rates.
