So happy you guys made it, the weather report this am sounded horrible. thought of you guys when I heard... Have a great trip and again so happy you made it safe and sound.
When you get back would love to discuss the airmile thing, sounds like you guys made it work, what we heard from other people it was a rip off.
Monique, i hope your not sitting at the Airport... i heard this morning that there were some flights cancelled ...keeping my fingers crossed for ya!!!
Kim and I used Airmiles for our trip. Direct Westjet flights from Calgary. It was more expensive than using Aeroplan but we had the points so I figured I'd use them. It cost us about $300.00 total in taxes and another $150.00 in trip insurance (that I usually don't buy). The direct flights, satellite TV and additional baggage allowance with Westjet were nice.
That includes the hotel? I really have to check into this more, I'm wanting to go back so badly, this could be the answer...
I wish....no that's flight only. We booked the hotel separately. Through TravelSDC.com. I think that is where some may find using Airmiles a "rip off". Booking flight and hotel together can sometimes be similar in total cost, but you are flying a charter airline or have flight connections.
Oh well knew it sounded to good to be true, however I will have to check into it more, we really could use another week or two there. And I'm thinking it could be alot more fun (if at all possible) meeting some of the people from this site.
