i think the crew did a great job of making sure everyone wore the life vest.. i do not blame them at all... i guess some people just need to be reminded that there IS a current and if your not a good swimmer " STAY ON THE FUCKING BOAT!" lol

We've only been on the cruise once, but know quite a few people who have been on it multiple times and have never heard anyone having any kind of issues with the water. I know that when we went I didn't feel strong enough since I had been drinking a lot, so I just didn't go in. Chris had been drinking just as much and chose to go in, with no problems. I think the best thing that's been said I be responsible for yourself. I am a good swimmer, but I smoke a lot, so I will get winded easily. Therefore I make my decisions on what I know about myself. And that was to stay on the freakin boat and not jump in the big bowl of water.

Steve does an awesome job with all the activities that he has ever done and if there was any safety issues he wouldn't still be doing the things he does.

I think part of the problem is that the water "looks" so inviting and not-dangerous. It is bright blue and crystal clear, so it does not look intimidating or inspire the fear or respect it deserves. If it was a dark body of water, and people couldn't see down to them bottom, I guarantee that people would be more afraid of going in.

Steve I will say that you were not on our cruise last year. were we went skinny dipping was near a small secluded beach. the water was only about chest deep and we evan had a few people swim to the beach and make naked sand angels. lol. so in our drunkin state this year when they said skinny dipping we jumped in before we knew it was deeper. So I'm sure Andrew was just giving everyone a heads up to be prepared. not trying to run down the cruise. we all had a blast and will do it again next year.

Since someone started this I will add my comments. My wife and I were on the June 22nd cruise and the boat was not at anchor and did drift away for the skinny dip. As was stated, the last cruise we were on, we were able to touch the bottom. We were not told that the water was 8ft deep While in the water my wife requested a life jacket, the crew had to go up to the front compartment to get one as none were at the back of the boat. On the snorkel adventure the boat dropped us off with life rings, but then sailed away. We had to swim back to the boat, a good hundred feet in a moderate chop. Our guide led us back between 2 other boats at anchor and we had to maneuver around and between the anchor lines. Except for those two items the cruise was a blast and we will be on it next year (as long as we are not barred). We will just be more aware of the water events and probably stay on the boat.
