A small double each to stretch out in, with "visitation rights" Win win !! But we did have a shower for two....... :daisy:
Not an upgrade, we requested a kingsize quiet room, got a quiet room with 2 queens and a massive double shower (Block 5). Swings and roundabouts... All the rooms are a little different to each other.. :daisy:
If you end up with two doubles, they're still pretty big (agree with other posts they're not queens though). You can use the other bed to store suitcases and stuff. We had a system where we'd use the same bed if we were relatively sober, and days we (or I) were wasted we'd have separate beds so that I didn't roll over in my drunken sleep and fall off the bed!
What you need to do when you get a room with 2 double beds is rather than sliding them together, is first rotate both beds 90 degrees so that the head & feet ends are touching each other, instead of the sides. This will take up the entire room and provide lots of space, plus you'll end up having space on both side if you place the beds in the middle of the room, rather then up against the wall
