Went for our first time last july and only had one problem. I left patios with wife sitting on chair to get to the bathroom a young male approached her and starting talking which is fine. She told him her husband was in the bathroom. He replied well come on we can go to my room. Well when i got back and wife told me what he said Daddy was not pleased. I gave him a tongue lashing and before it went any further friends from this site just about escorted the guy away. These people on here are good folks and will watch things like this. The single guys we hung out with were wonderful... Mature, respectful and fun. You seem the same way and it would be a pleasure to hang out if we ever crossed paths. It was the baboons and the occasional single individual that were the problem. Had one individual that was a particular pest to most of the women in our group (married and single) and when he got shot down he turned nasty. 'Our' men took care of that thankfully
Hell we had a couple last week that we had to call security on him several times. He thought he could just grope everyone just as he pleased. Oh hell no. Not just single guys can be creeps
Everyone already said it. No one has a problem with single guys. It's obnoxious single guys who travel in double figure groups who are there to drink as much as they can, screw as many as they can, don't care who they piss off as long as they make their friends laugh and love to fight. The type that have already given us Brits a bad name for years in Spain, Greece and Cyprus now have Cancun on their list. If you're not in that category then nothing to worry about.

This August will be my 3rd trip to TTR as a Gigolo lol My 1st trip as a Gigolo July 2011 Meet a guy the 1st night single aswell and he said to me with your good looks and my smooth talking we could clean up here, not long after that I stayed away from him the whole trip as I didn't want to be asscociated w him as he was a sleezy single there for a month aswell. Later that night met a couple of single English boys and we were buds for rest of the trip and met some amazing other people and no one had a problem w us at all. Just be respectfull and a genuine guy people can pick up on that. That trip a group of 15 Surry boys (Surry BC) arrived latter one arvo and before the sexy pool shut 2 had to be carried to there rooms as nearly pucked in the pool and were being idiots. Next day 3 of them were bragging they spent the night in jail. After a couple days people started to avoid them as together they were terrible but a couple of them which strayed away from the group by there selves great guys and people were a bit more accepting as not part of the cause of the rest of them. 2nd trip August 2012 Still a gigolo, Caught up with some of my old couple friends from the 1st trip and met a good dozen or so people which we became best friends mostly couples and some single girls. Still no problems being a gigolo And we are all going back for a reunion in August and im still a Gigolo and I luv getting involved in all the theme nights big time and joining in on the activities and making a bit off a fool of myself at times but I do it with a bit of class and respect of everyone around me as im not the only one on holiday everyone is.
To sway it a bit, our first trip in Jan 2012, we met some single guys who were awesome, and very respectful. Some English, some Canadian, and some American. The only trouble I've ever encountered was when two Swedish guys decided to come down to Paty O's about 2am in full ski gear. They would not take 'no' for an answer. Only time I've felt uncomfortable, when "no thanks, I'm married" wasn't enough to turn down a guy.
I have not been in over a year guess things have changed....did not see any herds of single men, but was not looking.
Like everyone says, if you're not a clown it's fine. I've been three times now and have not had a single problem because I am super respectful. Heck, most times there's couples or women trying to get me to be less uptight about offending someone!
LOL, should I tell Mamma that I am a "gigolo"? Great posts and really helps with being a solo male traveler and newbie.
