Hi all, Just wanted to share an article I've written about the beaches in the Cancun area. It's just simple little summaries with pics, but thought you might enjoy, especially if you are a Cancun addict and haven't checked out some of the other areas. For more info on any of these little hideaways, check out the CancunCare information site or come back here with questions. http://gomexico.about.com/od/beachesandresorts/qt/cancun_beaches.htm If you find something you like, don't forget to check out these pages for great hotel rates and tours in that area, Steve (Guru of CancunCare) has done a great job putting this site together, have a look at his hotel and tour pages. Tulum-http://www.cancuncare.com/Cancun_Hotels/Tulum_Hotels.htm Isla Mujeres- http://www.cancuncare.com/Cancun_Hotels/Isla_Mujeres_Hotels.htm Riviera Maya- http://www.cancuncare.com/Cancun_Hotels/Riviera_Maya_Hotels.htm Playa del Carmen- http://www.cancuncare.com/Cancun_Hotels/Playa_Del_Carmen_Hotels.htm And Cancun of course!- http://www.cancuncare.com/Cancun_Hotels/
Very informative and well written CC, I've been to most of them and now have Isla Holbox on the get to list. A local friend's daughter was married there and the pics look amazing. That, and a place called Tankah I've been wondering about.
I will second the suggestion to use cancuncare to book your hotel. We just booked our room for our trip to Playa next week through the site. I was comfortable knowing it was a secure sight, the quote was the cheapest I found and knowing that I was helping Steve with this site was a bonus.
Yup, now that I know of this site, I will book my trips in the future through CC. Awesome review of beaches! Very helpful!!
Thanks all, glad you liked. Don't forget to support CancunCare, Steve does a great service for us here with the forum.
Great info.--Thank you Canuck! Does anyone know about the "sports bar" at the Cancun Palace? Apparenlty, there is something new since last year regarding 16 tv's on the mezzanine level....never saw or heard of this. Thanks, Cindy
CC: We are planning a day trip down to RM from Cancun Palace. Typically, we go to Puerto Morelos or Playa. Very interested in the beach area at Isla Blanca. Any help on where to turn to get there; OR; other alternatives such as Maroma Beach; can't seem to quite locate where to turn to this spot either. Looking to relax and beach it. I would be nice to have food and drink while lounging; but do not need a HUGE beach club. Thanks eveyone...LEAVING MONDAY morning.
Cindy, Isla Blanca is "the other way", you'll drive past Puerto Juarez (where the Isla Mujeres ferry dock is), past Playa Mujeres (the new Secrets resort) and down a long dirt road. You can follow the signs to the car ferry dock then keep going (stay to the right, then it twists and turns). If you want it more precise, let me know. I miss Maroma unless coming from Playa, and even then it's hard for me to see. They do offer transortation to the club from Cancun, see their website. http://www.maromaparadise.com/
