Im so sorry yall had that kind of experience. We were there last week from June 8-15 and were so thankful that we had no sickness. Wife didn't have any butt brakes after eating the rich Italian food, but I think that was due to not being used to the food. We ate almost everything we could see, had mostly drinks with ice also. We did notice that the water bottles we drank out of in the room were not sea only ones that had sealed caps. When we got bottles in our room that were not sealed, we asked for new bottles

We are at TTR right now and I haven't even heard of anyone being sick. Either the sickness thing is overblown or it already passed.

Just got back home, was able to somewhat dodge the sickness. My wife had a little cramping and ran like Forest to get a box of Treda from the gift shop downstairs and it eased. We were lucky that we met some people early in our stay that had gotten sick the night before and told us about it so we were very, very careful about food choices and how many times we washed our hands. We would like to say thank you to David, Gloria, Nick and Steph about what was going around.....it saved our Ass!

I'm convinced that the most likely cause is people from all over the world who just came through airports all over the world being exposed to all kinds of bugs along the way spending a week using the same facilities in close proximity to each other day after day. Something originating at the resort, while possible, is much less likely in my opinion. To Steve's point, speculating doesn't do anyone any good. As to the water...when I'm there I drink glass after glass of water out of the sink in the room all day and night making sure I'm hydrated between soaking up sun and alcohol day after day. I trust the hotel water purification system, just as I trust the Mexican food service standards and the airplane I fly to and from on. I couldn't get through life worrying about every detail like that. Wash your hands frequently...quit worrying and have fun.

Well said, way to put it in perspective :xyxthumbs:

Exactly, there's no point in speculating or worrying about details like this. You run equal risk, if not worse, of catching a bug at any international airport.

I guess you have never been so violently sick on vacation that you wish you would die. Otherwise you would not make this comment. We love to party too but believe me...........
