Just Got back yesterday caught the bug on day 8 of 13, I even lysol the whole room and airline seats. I think Maybe sucking on breasts may have Did it. lol I dont know but it is annoying cough especially during the night. I even hit it with antibotics right away but no luck. I see alot of people coughing near the end of trip. I Got home and all my kids have the coughs. so its going around
Chad caught something, the last couple days were very low key for us. He tried to ignore it there but the trip home was miserable. I have never, in 20+ years, seen him so sick, and he is always the very last to get anything. I did limit AC use and we were very good about sanitizing. Hoping the meds fix him quick as last nights' fever could have heated the sexy pool hot tubs!
I hadn't realized this was quite so prevalent and am only just realizing this is problem what I've been suffering the last 2weeks since my last trip. Now I'm on my way back and still not 100% I know some good stuff for this and will update this with what works from the drugstore across the road
We are bringing Lysol spray and wipes plus 6 Damp Rids to get rid of moisture. We have have also been dosing on lysine and vitamin C to strengthen our immune systems and will continue to take it there. We only have 6 nights and we don't want to waste even one of them. At least we have 4 days after we get home to recover from the trip before we have to back to reality.
I got home 2 days ago and still have occasional coughing fits. I still had some fatigue, nausea and loss of appetite for the first 2 days of the stay. Vitamin C definitely helped, I drank my 7 day supply of Emergen-C in those 2 days and couldn't find any replacement in any of the stores around the hotel. Should anyone else come down with it, my recommendation for the cough is a product they have in the pharmacy across the street called MucoVibrol whose active ingredient is Ambroxol. None of the regular Guaifenisin products work at all, I was taking maximum strength Mucinex which didn't do anything at all, but the Ambroxol loosened it all. The best Vitamin C to find if you don't take Emergen-C down with you, is Redoxon 1000mg effervescent tablets, but as I mentioned they were out of stock around the hotel so might need a trip downtown or to Walmart to find it
So they are fast tracking it for you then Donald . You must have a special case . :aktion054::aktion054::icon_smile:
Take it from someone who fixes A/C for a living . When you cool the air with A/C the humidity condenses on the cooling coil , this water is supposed to be collected in a drain pan and drained away promptly from the A/C unit . If the drain pan is not sloped correctly or the drain is plugged or dirty blah blah blah then said water stagnates and you don't even want to think about the airborne nasties that that creates over time . Hotels are notorious for not maintaining, cleaning, filter changing etc in their A/C units . Hence the reason if I want A/C at TTR .........open the patio door and let the sea breeze in .
