You might want to look into the "new school" tattoo style, very colorful and dynamic. just dont end up on this site! lol WTF Tattoos - Bad tattoos
tats are very personal. 2 here. an angry hawk face and a rabid taz, one on each shoulder. both done by a former fully patched s. cal. angel and artiste... along with a fifth of jack for each... good times. my wife has a beautiful rose and a very sweet beach scene with sunset.. "tattoos should be an outward expression of the vibrations from our soul" or at lease look cool!
I currently have 5 tattoos, but I'm not done yet. 1st one is one my left foot, an angel that represents my late father. 2nd one is in the center of my back, water and three lotus flowers (I like the number 3) 3rd one is a set of lip prints on my right ass cheek 4th one is a verse from the poem footprints on my left shoulder (bet poem ever) 5th one is a red heart on the inside of my left wrist (I wear my heart on my sleeve) Not too sure what the next one will be yet. K
I'm sure someone from the May group has a pic of my tatt, I can't take one of my ass. LOL but just ask someone from May!!:ass:
That would be Al and his tat says "Nice Shoes" Reminds me of the analogy that a chicken participates in breakfast and a pig fully participates. Al full participates in his love of our fun resort. Jamie
I have 1/2 sleeve on my right arm and better than 1/2 of my back covered in tattoos. I have logged roughly 1 week total hours in the chair between line work, coloring and shading. All I can say is make sure you know what you are getting into. I only regret one part of my tattoos that didn't turn out as well as the artist nor I had hoped but that was due to the pigment of my skin and the area of which it was being applied. My brother is a tattoo artist and has schooled me on MANY different aspects of the industry as well as what to do and what not to do. There are 3 main different "type" of people that get tattooed and they all seem to be addicted after getting one. These "types" are collectors, meaningful, whatever. Whatever people come in and just do the flash art generally being your 18yr old badass that wants a tattoo for "whatever". The meaningful people are those that think and plan out endlessly to the point that they are lost in what they want but will get something that has significant meaning to them and collectors are just that. They will travel all over the world sometime to get tattooed by various well know artists like they were collecting fine art and cover themselves in it.The reasoning for it being addictive is that it releases a pain endorphin which excites you at the same time as you are trying to cope with the pain. some relate the fun of it to that of having sex(in a very twisted sense from my point). The biggest type are those that are meaningful. One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking that they are the artist and coming in with a drawing saying this is what I want. I doesn't work that way. Tattoo artists, if they are good study anatomy all day... it is their canvas. They have to know how to design the piece to work on the skin but above the muscle as it moves the skin and flows onto another part of the body. paper flat on a desk will NEVER give you that. You have taken the time to pick your artist, given them an idea as to what the meaning is, told them the things that are the must haves in the piece and that you both have to agree on it. Remember you are paying this person for their skill. that is why it costs so effin much. let them design the work, have the creativity flow and the artist will be into it so much more. You will get a piece you will cherish forever!! I will try to load a couple of picts if I can here soon. Hope this info helps
This is FRESH...just got it two days ago. Significant to me because if you look closely, you can see my husband's name (Paul) as the vine. I look "HIM" and I love Humming Birds and Hibiscus. I wanted his name on me but not looking like I've been branded. Thought his was cool. I'll try and get a pic of my first one. Just remember that it is forever (unless you want to endure much more pain for removal) so make it significant.
