We were like you, researched and read hundreds of reviews. And still weren't sure lol, but we are booked and looking forward to our first trip next month! I can tell you that just the people we have met through the June Junkies page are going to make the trip worth it, everyone seems so nice and really a lot of fun! We can't wait to have some sexy adult time!

My guess is your 2nd trip will be back to TTR, enjoy a wonderful atmosphere, yes there are better resorts, hotels & beaches around the world, and yes most of them are stuffy, I've never found a forum like this for any of those hotels. Been all over, never been to such a fun resort as TTR, yes you can be quite but on the other hand what an opportunity to have laugh, have fun. You'll have plenty of time to go to the stuffy resorts when your very very old (90+) !!!. If you've made a mistake, hey ho, how bad can one mistake ever be but you'll talk about your experience for ever, just not too your relatives ...

As others have said here, ..Go.! There is no reason not to go and try it. We are not TTR veterans, the first trip was only last year. We are approximately the same age and would describe ourselves as reserved. This year we have re-booked (only 7 weeks to wait). The hotel is well managed, food is great, weather, etc..all good. What makes TTR exceptionally good is the people.

Thanks again to everyone for the help. Got another question for you...we are kind of thinking about heading down July 4th, is it crazy busy for the holiday?

FIRST OF ALL I KNOW YOU WILL GO TRY IT, AND WILL BE ADDICTED LIKE WE ARE.
AS FOR LONG WEEKENDS (WE HAVE NEVER BEEN IN JULY) WE HAVE DONE MANY MAY AND SEPT LONG WEEKENDS AND THEY ARE ALWAYS BUSY. LOTS OF AMERICANS DO 3 TO 4 DAYS STAYS. WILL BE LOOKING FOR YOUR TRIP REPORT WHEN YOU GET BACK. YOU CAN PM US IF YOU HAVE ANY NON PUBLIC QUESTIONS.

One thing I can say... there's always the option to just go back to your room.

We do that from time to time when there's been too many drinks around the pool, or too many games, or too much time in the sun, whatever.

It's YOUR vacation. Spend your time the way you want to. You can easily escape the party-party-party, that's no problem at all. And, you can nearly always find it again when you are re-energized and ready to go!!

If you are "interested" in TTR, then I'm pretty sure you will really like it !!! You did a lot of research and you still here, kinda implies you are not a prude. That "daring" word says a lot.

You don't have to worry about getting your wife upset do to a lot of public sex, We have been 3 times and haven't seen ANY !!! I'm sure it happens, its just very very discreet.
The food is very good (really so if you are a shrimpaholic) , rooms are okay, the staff is great.

TTR is pretty much a party party resort in some areas while others are very quiet.
just checked the prices on Orbitz for July 4 week/. TTR is $1450 for 5 nites w/air from Atl. You just aren't going to beat those prices anywhere.

Also, TTR is 1000+ miles from home, so you get really get out of your shell !!!
