[QUOTE="She had a magic calculator that turned a 4.00 bag of cough drops into 12.00 usd. [/QUOTE] I guess it depends on who runs the calculator. You will almost certainly lose if you pay in USD though, but we've done the same on occasion. Sometimes you have to, but we try to visit the little cambio window at the beginning of each trip to minimize it.
Drugs are fairly inexpensive because they are as much for the locals as for us. Anything that is priced for tourists from souvenirs to sunscreen is higher, including even throat spray and lube... (I priced this for a friend. Allegedly ;-) ) Anyhow, suggest you stalk the roll call for people leaving the day after you arrive and offering to purchase their extra. One less thing for them to cart home and, fun fact, you're actually only supposed to use sunscreen for one season anyway.
Stupid question. I have never taken the blue pill but figured spending a week I might need some lol. We plan on stopping at WALMART on the way in for misc items. If I want to buy some thing like viagra is it literally as easy as walking up to the pharmacy and asking for some? Ty
Yes, but not recommended. Shop across the street will actually ask you as they push it and assume everyone is looking for it. There have been some reported issues and bad reactions and have ended up having to go to hospital and/or nearly died for a variety of reasons. I am not saying that folks have not had good results but why take the chance in MX while on vacation taking something that you may not have ever taken. Makes no sense. @Restling has provided the best advice.
