We just got back last night after spending 8 great days. we ate at italian 3 times and we saw two couples turned away because of how the males were dressed. one was able to change and still make there time. I say dress up for your lady for dinner. she goes the extra mile for you. then go back and change if you want to. it works for me.
Just keep in mind if you are happy with what they serve at the buffet then you can get by in the shorts and flip flops. It's up to you to be casual or dressy. After all it is your vacation!
Which restaurant is the buffet style? We prefer to "clean up" rather than dress up but I'm sure we will try one or two dress ups while there. What are the dress up restaurants like for breakfast and lunch? Is dress code the same and do most people dress up 3 times a day?
the buffet restaurant is called El Embarcedo (or something to that effect). Really the only time the other restaurants are open (the Tex Mex is open for lunch as well) or have a dress code is for dinner.
