Has anyone ever shipped anything between Cun and Miami? I am interested in taking some things with me back to the states... Has anyone here, or known anyone who has done this before? Any advice on companies to use and/or how the process works? Thanks!

Check with Hyde shipping in Miami. It is in a partnership out of Puerto Morelos called Hybur. The man in Miami (Was his name Carlos?) was very helpful in rescuing my menaje de casa from Global, which want to ship to Veraruz and barge it to Cancun, a pattern of thinking they developed six months after they with my stuff and I left Ohio! Hyde is a British based company. What you are after is a "less than container" shipment I would suppose.

Hyde Shipping's ship, the Hybur, arrives and departs out of Port Everglades, in the Fort Lauderdale area, a bit north of Miami. Actually only a 5-10 minute drive to the Ft. Laud. airport. I think their offices are in Miami but I think the freight is closer to Fort Lauderdale.

www.hydeshipping.com and Orlando Lopez, 305) 913-4900, is the person I have dealt with. They come and go once a week last time I checked. I have shipped a couple of cars from Florida to Cancun and they have a customs broker here in Cancun, near Nader and Coba.

    Good luck.

I just called Hyde and they were super helpful, but now I need to find a broker in Cancun.

TJ, do you remember the name of the one on Nader?
