I have been waxing for years (actually doing it myself). In January, I finally found a medical spa that does laser treatments near my home that does not require that I take a second mortgage or to pay for it. I am loving it! There is NO pain involved, if there is, they are doing it wrong ... And I started to see a difference in 3-4 treatments (every place will tell you it takes several monthly treatments because your hair grows in different cycles). A certified nurse does the treatments where I go to, which feels safer to me and like the better choice. I shave between treatments and the bumps and itchy/painful regrowth doesn't happen anymore (I can totally relate to you on that)! Don't get a Groupon and just go to some random place, do your research, ask around (my hairstylist actually told me about this place). You have to have dark hair where you want to be lasered, blonde or red hair won't work with the laser. Also, make sure they have a lifetime guarantee because life changes can cause regrowth (like having babies or menopause). You won't regret it. [emoji2] I know this is not the short term answer you are looking for, but it's definitely something to consider in the future! ~Jill~
Best thing I ever did. $$ well spent. But now with all the groupons and deals places have it's not as crazy expensive. I actually got a really good price for unlimited laser for two years on my Brazilian and armpits. I have 1hair in my arm pit now. It's been like 5 years since my last treatment. I used to have five o'clock shadow by noon after shaving in the morning. And razor burn like crazy.
Cure for shaving itch is = Don't shave. Wax or go with laser hari removal. Wallah! No itch, and no shaving every day either, which may cause the itch in the first place eh?
Considering waxing. If it's something you've never done, is it more likely that you'll get bumps or itching after your first treatment? (I got bumps/itch when I had my eyebrows waxed years ago. I only get them threaded now.)
Stacia did the waxing of the kitty for 3 years before upgrading to the laser. She had a really good person giving her the treatment, and never got any bumping or irritation. I actually had my shoulders done one time, and I didn't have any problems either.
Use Secret brand deodorant stick on shaved areas right after shaving. Spray is second best. I laser now so dont need to shave much. Angel
