As a holiday maker, I'm not even AWARE of the premier club when booking or before getting to the hotel, so to then find my experience is impeded by this element I think IS unacceptable. The club should have ADDITIONAL facilities for members, NOT take them away from "normal" holiday makers. I dont really want to have to get up at 6am to reserve my chair, but I generally like somewhere that I can sit, chill, people watch (not "lurking", dont worry!), and then join in on the fun By the way, are we talking about actual chairs, or loungers?
Goes the Premiere membership cover Desire too? We are staying at both places in July/August. Could be worth paying for if there are benefits at both resorts.
I agree . you did have to ask for the perks.. and my white bracelet didn't mean a thing as far as getting a drink at the pool..had to find a server with an orange shirt.. but at the premier beach.. the service was really good and you got the top brand booze without asking.. so.. I hope they do the expansion at the pool for the members..to me they will be adding chairs for us not taking them.. also.. the perks are behind the scene.. some of the things that if you dont take advantage of them there is not that much of a difference.. like 20 minutes a day at the spa hot tub. or steam room.. its free to members.. a lobster dinner.. an up graded room. a robe and slippers.. a turn down service..you can book your restaurants through the premier office..free internet..a butler.. which actually means customer service guy.. lol but I personally dont want to be segregated because I'm a member...as the members grow they will have to figure this out..
We just got back. and only 8-12 chairs were roped off in the mornings. Not a big deal. I made a point to take a couple tee shirts down around 7-8am, and grab a couple chairs on the other side. Then again, we're in the water most of the day with drinks, so the chairs are just a safe place to park your gear. Too hot to sit out of the water for long. Agree with all the comments on Premier versus regular folks. We regulars are still the bread and butter of the resort.
We just got back. That reserve section is ridiculous. Those people did nothing but lay there all day and take up space. Go to tha quiet pool
Well if they were laying in the chairs good for them, a lot of people throw a towel or shirt on a chair and don't use it all day. Lets not bash the members for rules that the resort makes, I,m sure they have little or no say in the matter. The resort has these perks to show potential new purchasers on their tour the things they can get by becoming a member.
It's really not that bad. If no one is using the chair use it, if they come back move. We're all friends and don't mind sharing. Your on vacation enjoy :daveandmo:
