Calcouple (Craig & Renee) will have access to the Premium chairs as well (June 17 - 24) but don't want to be segregated from the fun crowd. First time at TTR Cancun. Previously gone to TTR Cabo. I agree with lilismom though. Most of the time is spent in the pool. Never had problems with sharing chairs.
I reserved our group's chairs (8) the night before usually around 12:30-1:00. Never had an issue with my shirts being moved. We were always by the shallows and tubs.
Interesting topic re: chairs reserved for members. My hubby and I were there in March and witnessed some suits walking about the Sexy Pool area ... as we approached them and stopped to single out any available chairs (ironic I know - lol) we overheard part of their conversation and one fella was showing them a pic on a tablet. They were discussing renovations to the Sexy Pool Deck and had a mock drawing that reflected a finished expansion of the sexy pool deck area which represented lined chairs reserved for members - the drawing showed the deck being expanded towards the ocean; obviously cutting into some of the beach area, but it looked pretty nice. So, there you have it - just thought I'd share guys ... didn't think it relevant at the time, but pretty significant in terms of future planning for TTR. We hope it will result in keeping both members and non-members very happy while vacationing at their favourite HOT spot!! Cheers, :daveandmo: C
I am also a member and happy to say one of the Chaos Crew, who has paid extra for the few perks that are offered to the members. I don't look at the non members as "second class" and have shared my perks with them as they are my friends. I don't think the hotel rates their guests that way either. Yes, some changes should be made ie. hot tub area, but being a member at any resort, club, etc has its perks. It's true, we're not all going to be happy with everything....we spend most of the time in the pool anyway where we are all the same and there to enjoy the same thing. Don't shun me because I'm a member as I too save and pay a hefty price to go down for two weeks a year. Being a member enabled me to save a couple hundred bucks per visit so it was an advantage for me and I'm happy with what this resort offers its members.
Im sure this is going to piss alot of you off, but here goes... Jesus.. Premiere members paid more and actually keep the resort yall love so much up and running and therefore get more perks. 20 pool chairs, better booze nicer rooms and extra items on a menu, does this seem out of line too?? Instead of bitching, pony up for premier membership.. You'll find that you get better service, better seats, pretty much better everything!! Oh and you'll save a bunch of $$ if you are a avid returner... Just saying!!!
True enough Donald.. We all keep TTR alive with our vacation $$. All I'm saying is not to feel shit-on because Premire members get a few more perks for paying extra up front. I bought in this year after telling myself since 2006 that being a member made no sense. In my humble opinion after wearing the white wristband this year, the perks are worth the few dollars I spent.
Back to my original post, yes you paid up front and you should get better rates/rooms (then you do now) to reflect your investment. But the perk should be the better rate and end there, to have this two tier system is back firing . Some resorts let you upgrade to top shelf liquor/ perks for the week. The resort could keep going without the Pr-members but not the non members, so who is more important to TTR ? ps I don't feel ''shit-on '' by any member
