We have done this every year on our trips to Hedo. For the last 5 years I have MC'd it. We always did it a la white elephant with steals and all. Always a good time, but we did have some minor hiccups along the way- just to help out here they are: - Setting a minimum and maximum on the amount spent- we tried to keep it $25-$35 but if you've been in a toy store lately that does limit the selection and there always seems to be at least one person who goes cheap- not cool to buy something nice and end up with junk. - With our groups of up to 100 people, sometimes it went wayyyyy long when we limited it to 3 steals on an item- seriously, like 2 1/2 hours worth of mic time is a LONG time. We found limiting it to 2 steals cut it down significantly. - DO NOT wrap the gifts before you get there- the TSA frowns on that. You are much better off bringing a gift bag and some tissue wrapping paper. - Don't forget the batteries! - Don't forget, the person who draws and goes #1 gets to go again last! Hope this helps- Nick (and the sex toy exchange Vanna White Kitty)tm
For us it would need to be sometime between 14th-17th, We leave the 18th for a different resort. :aktion054:
Since it seems that the people on this thread are going to be there the same time we are, I was also wondering what the women (and men) were thinking for theme nights on Sunday and Monday. I know some people were against the school girl thing, but I know that Dennis likes it. (We don't have kids old enough to wear school girl uniforms so it doesn't weird us out) I also have an animal print dress. Just wondering if those would interest anyone for themes on Sunday and Monday nights??? Still haven't heard anything back about the toy exchange........
I had mentioned this the other day. How does after the boob cruise sound, or is that too much for one day?
"If you build it, they will come." (misquote,,I know) We can make it. I'm sure the closer we all get to our respective arrival dates, more will pitch in on preferences. I'm guessing more then a few of the boobs cruisers will take a much needed siesta when they return to TTR. The 14th is our first nite, we arrive too late for the cruise, but early enough to hit the water, the drinks, clean up, eat, dress for white night and the toy party at what ever might work. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
It's looking like the 14th is a go! We were thinking sometime around 9:30 or so. I will see if I can contact Steve on facebook to see if we can contact someone about using Nice Shoes to hold our event. And, oh yes, I plan on taking a nap after the cruise... Maybe. As for theme nights it looks like pirate, Arabian, or Hawaiian are a go. What does everyone else think?
Dennis and I are thinking that we would like to do animal print on Sunday and then Monday whatever people would like to wear. We looked at pirate and arabian stuff and didn't like anything. One night where people just chose what they wanted to wear wouldn't be bad. Show some personality!
I facebooked Steve and he thought that we could use Nice Shoes Bar since we are staying at the facility we can use it. So I am thinking 9:30 at the Nice Shoes Bar on the 14th?! As I said before, when we went in February the dancers performed there on Saturday night. Maybe it will be available.
