Anyone familiar with the local shopping? I'm sure my wife will want to venture into town and check things out. Any tips or advice on where to go or not to go is appreciated.
the bus right in front of TTR goes into town and we always go to walmart for necessity ( i.e. alcohol and stuff)... there is a huge huge mall one stop before walmart that has tons of shopping options.. very safe if you just keep your wits about you, after all we are foreigners to them and sadly that makes us automatic targets..... mall is called Mall americana.... bus costs only 50cents ,,,, theres starbucks and hooters down there too,,, just like being home,,,,
There are also several small convenient stores adjacent to hotel for basic needs. The OXXO is like our 7-11 with a pharmacy.
Ok cool. What about the Mom and Pop shops? The wife loves the sun dresses. She picked up some in Cozumel a few years back and wants a few more.
Several large local markets an easy bus ride from TTR where sundresses, T-shirts, or pretty much anything else can be purchased.
Stay away from market 28...its a high pressure flea market Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
Take a day trip to Isla Mujeres... Take the ferry over (like $15), then rent a golf cart for the day ($50, seats up to 4 people), drive around... Tons of shops, you can hit drive through liquor stores and drink while you cruise in the golf carts... Its also lots of fun when you bring other people with you and have multiple golf carts...
Anybody have preference on devil/angel vs CEO/secretary? My vote is for CEO/secretary but either could be lots of fun. Still trying to figure out if Brazilian night is a theme night for dress up purposes. One of the few times during the year when packages arriving on front door is a great day!
