We always price both but have got better deals with the package. Last year we used Expedia and this year Travelocity.
I worked both angles. Bookit.com has some of the best deals. Amex was $100 more, but I was able to use my points for the trip. So Amex won. I did look at a different weekend in September and would have used Steve, because I could fly to Cancun on points that weekend, alias work got in the way for then. So looking forward to our first visit.
