    I didn't know about it at the time and didn't think to ask, and it's not promoted in an obvious way at the license bureau, but there is a 50% discount on the price of a Mexican driver's license if you're at least 60 YOA. (Articulo 28, Reglamento de Transito, Municipio de Benito Juarez.)

    Who would want to drive while on vacation?

    An "ARI" in another country is not my idea of fun.
