This Posted by Donald... The discussion going on on Nudity is strictly hypothetical,, location and closeness to well traveled public beach and Marina would never blend well with nudity .
Best of both worlds Quiet pool is far enough off the beach and surrounded on three sides and only about 50% occupied at any time when it's a war to find a spot at the sexy pool. Just make a higher concrete wall at the beach and it's done then people can have an option clothing or not . Really is it a huge step with the outdoor room hot tubs that are occupied by naked people anyway just steps away ? Temptation and Desire have some similarities but really two different concepts. Temptation was way more fun in our opinion and if you wish to add more locations a hybrid might just be something to look at that could grow this business even more. Blow away the competition by offering a hybrid.
TTR is already a hybrid,, half way between Hedo and a Couples resorts . I agree nude Sunbathing would be nice ( and would get my ''YES'' vote btw ) , say around the quiet pool as mentioned,, but in this TTR environment that would probably lead to public sex . Might be one of the reasons mgnt don't want it , along with bylaws , and maybe lost customer revenue from those opposed .
I think the biggest deterrent to a Clothing Optional area is the resort doesn't want a bunch of naked guys running around with there shlongs floppin around running off the vanilla's. If they allow nudity for women then the men aren't to far behind, then mix in alcohol and it's a good ole roman orgy! Not sayin that wouldn't be fun and all but TTR isn't about that at least not on the surface. It would be great but don't expect it. On the other hand a dedicated area like the under used cigar bar with a plunge pool and or a Jacuzzi with a stationed security guard to prevent any overtly sexual behavior would work really well for the resort IMO. It's secluded enough to not interfere with the rest of the resort and provide a really nice area to give the small number of us that enjoy being nude in public. And lets face it, most people have no idea where the hell the cigar bar is anyway.
Although, something tells me that it would become the most popular area of the resort and quickly outgrow the space.
I don't see what original resorts has to gain by doing the nudity thing. They have Desire for that. And we are fine with nudity. Just don't think it makes business sense for them. Hmmm, unless they do make the cigar bar the place. Call it the swingee.com club and cross promote their website venture. Free admission for members (I think membership in the site is free but it gets people on the site that they love to promote so much). Otherwise charge $10 for admission but make that worth while with the clothing optional jacuzzi and top shelf bar. Make the single guy price $40 to keep the packs out. King of like lifestyle clubs do. So this leads to a question for the interview that seems appropriate for the CONCEPT MANAGER. Will any of the Desire concepts such as nudity allowed only in specified areas and play in specified areas be added to the new Temptation concept? Thanks!
Some thoughts for questions Steve here some thoughts that you might probe them on. 1) I always wondered why they do not allow the ladies to be topless in the night club given that they can be topless all day at the pool. Is it a legal issue? I have suspected that it is more a concern that the environment at the night club is just different - it is nighttime, more drinking, etc. and that they are worried that in the night club environment would lead to more overt attempts at public sex. In any event, I am curious as to what their thinking is on that and if it could change with the new "Bash" club 2) I know that TTR works hard not to be considered a "swingers resort" and I get that. Yet, they are certainly considered swinger friendly. My understanding is that at Desire (I've never been) there is a play area near (or part of) the night club and that those that wish to indulge may do so. I wonder if they would consider having such an area at TTR. To make it work at TTR, no single gentlemen would be allowed in that area unless they were accompanied by a couple. Again, I would like to know their thinking on that sort of play space. Thanks for all of your efforts in getting us some additional information from the powers that be.
2) I know that TTR works hard not to be considered a "swingers resort" where did you get that idea ,, they are promoting Swingee club thing all the time .
I guess in my mind I am making a distinction between "swinger friendly" (which is what I was told TTR likes to think it is) and a "swinger resort" - which I think applies more to Desire and places like Hedo since they allow nudity and open play (at least in some areas). I realize that not all of their clientele are swingers, but I do believe the swingers can be more open about it at those resorts. I do believe the Desire & TTR have different target audiences (not just based on price - which may no longer be the case) and that there is some effort to differentiate the Desire properties and TTR. I was just wondering if management would consider some "tweaks" that would allow a bit more freedom for those who want it, without scaring off those who aren't into that. I can't say that I know how Swingee fits with all of that. But, I don't think it effects how the marketplace and social media view TTR. I would guess (and yes - it is just a guess) that no one has ever posted "Hey, TTR is a sponser of Swingee, so it must be a swinger resort" Len
