Read the last few posts on April addicts 2012 thread and you will see how wrong I really think you are.

FRom what we saw and heard I don't doubt that the security on this trip was far more tight than years past to the point of ridiculous in some instances, and we saw it first hand what they did and didn't get involved in and didn't agree with them much of the time. But all I wanted to offer was a different view when comparing it to other places. Was the security too much and caused some loss of fun this time....quite possibly. Was the fun that you were still capable of having still better than other resorts...I have to say absolutely yes without a doubt.

I can't be wrong...it's my opinion. And it's based on my personal observation from my visit to TTR during "Epic" week. Although we didn't do anything over the top, security was never an issue.

    For example,
    1. There was the guy who won the belly flop contest by performing it naked.

    2. The girls were constantly lifting there skirts/dresses in Paty'O's.

    3. Many of the girls in our group were making out in the sexy pool

    4. At least 5 of us laid our ladies down on the couches in Paty'O's and did tequila body shots off them (salt on nipples and the lime between their legs).

All of the above took place in plain view of security and it wasn't an issue.

Please understand, I'm not saying others didn't have any problems, Im just reporting on my experience. I just think that people are really over reacting when they are talking about canceling their trip.

Not really - just got back last night and they have really cracked down. No NTV, only one tequila volleyball game all week. The rest of the games have been tamed was down as well. They did do three body shots at the pool one day. Also, several people including myself were told to put on clothes after casino night. Quess they didn't like my joe boxers. Security stood at paty'o every night we were there like it was a prison ward or something. Hopefully they will get back to normal before we plan another trip. I would hate to miss all my friends that go to TTR but it felt more like beach palace last week. Even the number of topless ladies were way down compared to previous 11 trips.

I think you are 100 percent right on that... this place can and still will be a blast cuz if you have the right people, you can make anytime a fun time and a vacation is what you make it. The issues I think are the just rule changes and the security for those that have been there for years, Just hoping it stops before they tell us we cant play guitar on the beach etc...stuff that we all love to do in our group.

They took my whipped cream, though... It was still 3/4 full... I still say they suck. The whipped cream was good. The girls liked the whipped cream. The guys liked watching the girls lick off the whipped cream. The whipped cream was good; security was bad... You weren't there yet, Joe... You can't feel the pain I had on that day...:icon_mrgreen:

I think what we are seeing is a bit of an adjustment on the resorts behalf. Maybe they are trying to keep the place more full year round? For example while there is always a great crowd at Halloween it's not totally sold out. Half the time I think you notice these things more if you are looking for them. I was there two weeks this April and I can say that the second seemed a little bit more on the wild side. I imagine that security, someone from the cast (Mario or Chinos) and the management get together at least once a week to try to adjust the involvement of level security has. Over time I am sure it will settle down and be mostly if not all of the resort most of us have come to love.

Also, sorry Jim if I took advantage of you on a beach. I was drinking and in all fairness I was blindfolded.
