The only problems we had was someone putting something in our bubba mugs. We were totally fine and then after a few trips to the bar our speech got slurred vision got blurry, we started getting loud and goofy and overly flirty. I think maybe they spiked our drinks with alcohol...

We're a lesbian couple and sometimes have been concerned when we've travelled as, even though i'm near on 6 foot and pack a punch, lol, we're still 2 ladies and can be targetted for many reasons as a result. We've always however, felt completly safe at TTR. The first year we went mind, we had BigJoep, San Fransico Jo, and a fewe of the other regulars who took us under their wing, same with last year. We did encounter 1 issue last year though which made me pretty irrate, and that's that 3 nights in a row, the couple in the room oppisite (in their early 20's, from the UK) were taking/snorting cocaine in the room with the door wide open for all to see and were arguing and making a hell of a racket. I notified hotel staff however not much was done....i do not condone drug use of that nature, especially at TTR and i'd be lying if i said they didnt make me feel uneasy as when you snort that shit up your nose, you are capable of anything i would imagine...

I understand and share your attitude that I personally do not partake in that behavior. However, as long as no one tries to force it on me or tries to bring such a thing in my room, then that is on them. They are taking one heck of a risk having illegal drugs on them in Mexico. Narcing on them if they had not actually done anything to you is potentially subjecting them to a world of despair. They will get there on their own.

Remember the motto: "No 0ne knows you and no one gives a shit".

If they were really out of control or became threatening, then by all means report that behavior or request that they tone it down.

We had neighbors and saw guests imbibe in marijuana, again great risk, but that is on them. I would not help to get them in trouble, especially in Mexico. Bad Karma.

Well, if i'm honest i think snorting cocaine with your door wide open from 2am until 6am, arguing at the top of your voice with one another and punching walls and doors in the corridors was pretty out of control.

If you take drugs, good for you, it's your life. But am i going to sit back and watch when it's affecting our holiday...No. Not when we save all year round for this trip and besides, if they have hardcore grade a drugs in their possession, who knows where that could end up. I read only a couple months ago that one of the regular TTR couples had a bad experience where the woman had her drink spiked... So i'm sorry but i felt it was necessary to alert hotel staff, and i'm sure most people would. So no worry of any bad karma for me... :)

Yes, as I said, if the behavior is out of control, I would report that. If someone knocks on their door they will have their "stuff" with them and in the room and may get in trouble.

If they are not smart enough to keep a low profile while doing something so stupid and illegal, then they asked for it.

I was just saying I would not report "the drugs" unless they were pushing this on someone or bringing it near me, but absolutely on the loud or obnoxious behavior. That report alone will get security to their room.
