I don't disagree with you for the most part. I wouldn't have done it either on my own volition when I was in college. But,....... now that I see what the job market is really like, if I had a kid in college, I'd be advising him/her to consider the benefits of what this article talks about. It could potentially put your resume at the top of the pile, rather than "in the mix." That old saying of "it's not who you know, but who knows you" often times rings true to life. Michelle
