Quite a few people are reporting that sea lice season is upon us in Cancun. Sea lice are not lice at all but are microscopic larvae of the thimble jellyfish. The larvae are the size of a speck of pepper and when trapped between your swimsuit and body can fire their stinging cells resulting in itchy red welts in sensitive spots! I saw a lot of the adult jellyfish in thin ribbons across the sea yesterday on our booze cruise to Isla. See pic below: Many people use Safe Sea which is a suntan lotion that can be effective against Sea Lice, but you can't buy it in Cancun so pick some up before you go if you're going to be in Cancun during the next couple of months. sea lice seasson starst at end of April until the first warm rain. So seasson depends on rain and has not an exact appointment.
Play it safe and order some Safe Sea before your trip. I ordered 6 bottles over the weekend. I used it last year in Ambergris Caye, and the stuff really works well.

I couldn't get the links to work either. Do a Google search for safe sea, and it will take you to the manufacturers site where you can order it directly from them. Right now, if you order 6 bottles, shipping is free.
We ordered ours from Amazon, and it was shipped from this vendor "Steve, I removed the link now that you got your's fixed"
That's strange as the links were definitely working up until recently as I can see sales from it. But I just checked and the link has changed for some reason.
