Last year yes we toook our kids there for christmas. Sorry but we would not go back. Kids got very bored of the waterpark after day 2. The beach well just bad. But that is just our opinion.

    Hi all, first time posting.

We too are considering Sea Adventure, mainly for the price. Hunny likes that we can get a balcony with view of the sea for what price they're asking...other places have only lagoon or garden views for the same money. To her this is a big deal, sitting on the balcony and seeing the Carribean.

We would appreciate anything you veterans of Cancun can tell us about this place, good and bad...I'm sure there is some good...isn't there?

    Thanks in advance!

Take our kids every year, going again in august. Our kids are now 13 n 7 and they love the place. Food is ok, but as long as I'm not cooking its good. We have seen the shows a couple of times, wish they would do new ones. But they are actually pretty good and the kids love them. We don't live on a beach so this one is better than what we have at home! Definitely not the best stretch of beach on cancun though. Waterpark is good for a couple of hour a day, found the lunch to be very good there. They have one large pool that always has something goin on. At night, they have a large lobby bar that they have games and a dj for the kids. It is a 3 star hotel for adults, 4 star for kids. They also have hamburgers and nachos at 11pm every night. They have a daycare but we rarely used it. The bad is it is waaay away from the other hotels as it is in puerto Juarez (or morales). So doing anything off resort requires a taxi. We found the restaraunts in 2013 to be worse so we stuck with the buffet which was better. We even find it to be a good time, especially the lobby bar at night. Kids can't wait to go back.

Our kids (3 & 9) have attended birthday parties at the waterpark and always enjoy them. We have stayed overnight once and it was ok, although our son was still a baby and no elevators meant a struggle up all the stairs with stroller and baby.

Great Parnassus and Crown Paradise are our current favourite hotels when with kids.

Thank you all for your input. After careful consideration, weh ave booked elsewhere. There were a few reasons, but one of the big ones was location and the lack of anything else around this resort.

Have stayed at all the above mentioned hotels...from sea acventere to crown to the great parnassus. All have there positives but as far as a vaca for the entire fam we now always choose sandos caracol, the waterpark there blows the others away, they also have an awesome kids club. Food is better than he other resorts (brazilian restaurant is great). Not sure if its on rci tho

We have stayed at Sandos Caracol too. Yes, it's nice and has a great waterpark but it's huge! We found it a lot of walking (with our then 2 yr old) and also wasn't keen on the 'wild' animals such as coatis that seemed to be in abundance and would come up and steal your food.
