I personalty think its crazy to haul your own chair, there is a walmart there hehe. But the whole idea in my opinion, similar to Dave and Audry is to meet new people and have fun.
I will never save a chair, only share with my fellow peeps!

The chair thing however, is important to some people, so each to their own.

Last year we did not use a chair once, we had a bed by the quiet pool, a place to go and relax when the debauchery got too much. We did keep stuff with Leni and Jodi for safe keeping, and the whole week 8 crew is great and honest, as I would expect all of us to be.
I just cant see is saving chairs, not now, not ever.
Being as social as I am, I would rather meet new people, hang out and relax.

Besides, the beds are big enough for 6 adults in a semi pretzel formation, and 4 for some snoogly fun.
Dont be afraid of the Lion, he shares well!! :) :)

I hope some of these folk aren't going in May, we are a big friendly bunch and if some of us get up at 6 to reserve beds then there ours to keep and share with new and old friends not for somebody who doesn't want to get up early but wants the perks it brings, no pain no gain as they say.

So.... as this will be our first visit, are we expected to sit on the floor for the duration of our 3k holiday looking at loungers with no people on until they decide to crawl out of bed?... I think not
Personally I prefer being in the pool at the bar, but Mrs f likes to lay out for an hour or 2. I will place any items under the chair and if and when someone turns up they can gladly have it. I'm sure there will be other available loungers to repeat this process:icon_cool: . this sounds fair to me. how bout you:icon_question:.
1st time or 21st time doesn't matter. we all work our butt's off all year to pay for our holidays :beer4:
Enjoy yours, we certainly will enjoy ours .

For goodness sakes people. There are plenty of chairs for everyone. They just may not be exactly where you want. Try sitting on the beach. It's really quite nice.

Sorry but these threads come up every year and people just go off the wall.. as been said there are tons of loungers, many beach beds etc. What some are bitching about is they can't get the lounger where they want the lounger (around the sexy pool) believe me we have never ever had an issue getting a lounger, just some times we're at the quiet pool or on the beach. We still go to the sexy pool for the fun and shows.. Please don't let this be a concern for you... you will find a lounger no matter what time you get down there... it just may not be by the sexy pool..

    Cheers

On the chair versus lounger thing,, not a bad idea, they take up less room and are more comfortable and fly further in a hurricane .(JK)

After 3 or 4 days in those loungers a good chair would be welcome

They used to have Bistro tables beside the Buffet with chairs . They were good too.

This really wasnt as big an issue as it sounds. The lady was just pretty snooty about being a "member", so I just shot back a little "congrats" as a comeback.

We've actually never really had a huge problem with chairs. We usually have enough friends there, that someone usually has one. The only reason we want one is a place to collectively put our "stuff"...camera, phone, towels etc...

We usually spend 90% of our time in the pool or sitting on the side of the pool.

Having said that, i still think it's ridiculous for someone to "reserve" a chair before daylight, then not show up until 1 or 2. A little selfish IMO.

We always have a great time!

The real issue is not the lack of chairs, but the lack of butts in reserved chairs.

Now you've done it, you've crossed the streams, a chair thread with a hint of camera thrown in. Duck!!!!
