WOULD YOU SUGGEST BRINGING ONE OF OUR OWN GAWDY TOWELS FROM HOME??
we have tons and tons of beach towels as we are on Florida and have a pool??? more idenifiable and probably less likely to be thrown on ground...

I never knew people got up that early on vacation! I know we sure as hell don't! We wake up to an alarm everyday so when I go away, i'm certainly not doing it to reserve a chair. Looks like we are destined for the quiet pool or the beach. Sorry, had to vent.

Big change from the last few times: There were 2 guys (TTR employees) that I saw removing towels from chairs to let other people take them. I don't know if they put them there or if it's now become a situation where if you ask them they will find you a spot. On the same note, I never saw them move any personal items.

I left a shirt out with my towel and they never bothered it. I know the hotel is very much against saving chairs. On my first full day someone took my towel, but left my book (So I still had a chair, just no towel) and they gave me another without question. If you lose yours or it disappears, I'm sure you can get another without having to pay for it.

Couldnt agree with you more. I want to lay in bed until we decide to get up, not to "save" a chair on vacation. I will just find chairs as they open up, or just stand in the pool near the bar. Either way we will have a blast. Oh by the way, if anyone else wants to get up at 4-5am and save us a chair as well, by all means :)

The whole saving chairs thing I find very rude actually. How about this idea. When you get to the pool sit ur ass down if there is a chair. It totally infuriated me lastyear at another resort that all the chairs had towels on them and some people did nit even show up all day until way late in the afternoon. I even saw people that were on excursions all day that came back and went to their saved chairs. That is totally rude. My opinion if there is stuff on a chair for more than an hour ( or obvious lunch break or whatever) then just move the stuff and enjoy the chair. If the person comes back then by all means here is you stuff. No body does this sort of thing anywhere other than at resorts. I agree with some, I,m on vacation I,m not getting up at 4am to get a friggin chair. I,ll sit my ass at the bar all day. I wish the staff would police that and at 5 am if there are tems on the chairs. Take it off and chiuck in into a bin for the people that want their shit back. Sorry I have probably offended a few people but that is just my opinion, ( and many others )

a little rude at least, reminder to ask the question of "what is the norm" of this resort (or other resorts) and try to follow what is acceptable. at bbg/temptations it is the common practice to reserve your loungers- but to vacate if your not using them. we have never had a problem.

AGREED, should be a way the resort should be able to handle this.....

**MAYBE WHEN BUSY ANOTHER COUPLE COULD OFFER 1 CHAIR AND THE GIRLS COULD USE THE CHAIRS, PUT WOMEN ON CHAIR HAVING PRIORITY and let the guys be gophers for getting drinks and stuff.

Great Idea and also a great way to make friends. I have no problem sharing a chair with my honey, I can sit by her feet while she catches the sun. I'm not one for sitting still anyway...

I agree with this quote completely. Wish the resort would take care of this issue.
