I'm debating whether to bring my 18 month old daughter with us on vacation to Cancun. Some family members have told me to have a hand on her at all times because someone may want to kidnap her when we are out and about. If that's the case I rather leave her at home with grandparents where I know she is safe, but if that's not the case I would love to have her with us, even if that means my activities are limited to toddler stuff. Please tell me, how safe is to venture off the resort with this little girl? Thanks!

If you are worried for your child's safety... don't come period. Cancun is a wonderful city. Come and enjoy
