If you have an unlocked phone you can get a Mexican Sim card for 14.95 or so for a month,, that gives you 35 cents a minute international calling for a month
i had to turn on my cell phone just to check the time...since we had no clock in our room....well, all of my apps started updating, gps started locating, and all that good shit...ended up being quite a bit just for turning on my phone long enough to check the time....def keep it on airplane mode, or even better, off
I brought my Mac mainly for music. It worked great for that. Had we gone more into the city I likely would have used it for research and what not. I never got online though for fear I would check email and social netoworking sites which is a no no for me on vacation. That being said my 15 inch Macbook fit fine.
