Go from Dec to Feb and you will find a better mix of ages. We are past the 40's and have had a great time every year for the past 5 years. As far as the music goes... we like the music because we love to dance and the newer stuff has a great beat. We aren't fans of retro music and I'm sure it wouldn't go over well with the crowd there no matter what age. It seems to me that most of the "older crowd" goes there to pretend that they are twenty again for a week or two anyway. (Just an opinion, not intended to offend anyone.) Larry
Well sadly this is nothing new.....they always play the same songs over and over....by the end of our vacation we try to guess what song is coming on next, it can make for an excellent drinking game..lol....Ya just have to laugh!:icon_biggrin:
Some people were there 2 weeks, and they were going just crazy with the same music all the time. Next time i bring some CD....
We just got back and I dont think the ages of the people present was so much of a problem rather the large number of single guys that were present. The last trip we made to TTR was in 2009 and there were very few single guys and the ones present were very respectful. This year there were tons of rude single guys everywhere you went. This really screwed up the atmosphere and made the woman a lot more reserved than in years past IMO.
BBG/TTR has always had a good DJ staff. I usually enjoy most of the music because I'm on vacation and it's somthing different. :mnm:I can always listen to the same ol' stuff at home. Yeah, they seem to be more into the techno in the last few years tho, and of course they have to play what the management wants them to play. Comment Cards!! Fill out those comment cards and let the management know what you think!! Maybe someone was on vacation (DJ staff) and that's why the endless loops? Just a thought. George

I didn't think it was that bad. The music has always been crappy. I've found over the last few years Patyos stays busier n less people do go out to the bars. Years ago Patyos would be empty by 11pm. The crowd age is always dependent on the week. March is very single n younger. April usually better but due to a very late april changed things a bit. You should try mid april n i guarantee you will like it. I'm sorry this trip wasn't as good as your previous ones n hope your next one is better
:whisper:I heard rumour around the sexy pool that they are considering restricting the resort to 25 and older and are also considering charging more for single guys to visit. I don't have a problem with the age restriction but punishing a single guy for being "a single guy" doesn't seem fair. A few bad "apples" shouldn't spoil the TTR experience for everyone. Yes, the music is the same but when you are having a great time with great friends doesn't that trump the crappy tunes????
honestly varies by the week youre there. ive been going to cancun for the past 6years and been to TTR once and to Golden Parnassus 7times.....and every year its different crowd as far as ages, peoples origin and how crazy it gets.
