Love that room! I've stayed in it two times now.. Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone about it. They will all want it. Lol
WE HAD ROOM 1226 NEAR THE GYM AND QUIET POOL but overlooking the main road....... NOT A BAD ROOM and enough space in the shower for a party oh and TWO QUEEN SIZED BEDS LOL !!!bACK a week and feel sad already
We came from UK as a group of 6 (3 rooms). My husband and I asked for a ground floor room and were put in the apparently only one available which was right next to Paty O and walkway leading to sport's pool. It was really convenient, but pretty loud most of the day. Loud music at night wasn't such a problem, it was the fact that it goes on from around 5pm - 5am. It's impossible to get a little quiet time in the afternoon because it's just annoying thumpy dance music until the evening DJ stuff starts around 9:30pm. We were there for 2 weeks, so the 'filler' music got real tiresome and stuck in our heads after a few days! The rest of our group were initially put on top floor overlooking the parking lot and busy road. One of them complained straight away and were moved to top floor overlooking quiet pool. The other couple complained a few days later to the Thomson rep and were moved to top floor quiet pool too. So, if you're not happy, make sure you let them know straight away. If they can't do anything complain to the Thomson rep until they do something about it for you.
We just got back from a fantastic time here. We were in room 1111 which is a perfect location to everything. Tucked in a long the path behind Margaritas. Centrally located to all pools and the resort in general. I agree with everyone about the rooms in this 1100 and 2100 corridor. However the resort is not huge so walking, even drunk, to the far reaches is not that bad.
Long before...it was ingrained in the furniture, sealed to the walls with fresh paint and pervasively overwhelming. Plus it had a privacy screen...and Homey don't play that.
I can tell you not to get either Room 1139 or 1140 if Stacia & I are going to be there because we want one of them.!
After our third trip we learned to love a first floor room especially when the wife is coming home from patio with heels on. We had a third floor room above the quiet pool and that was a nightmare after a night meeting new friends.
We used to prefer the Section D rooms 3xxx but now we always ask for a room in the 2110-2115 range. These are the ground floor rooms close to Paty O's. It's never usually a problem because no one else wants them. For us though it's ideal - the back sliding door is the quickest route to the sexy pool and the front door is right into Paty O's. If we need the bathroom or to get something from the room then it's steps away from where we hang out 90% of the time. We only stay for one or maybe two nights so we don't go there for a rest and although it can be noisy it's not a problem for us.
