3 more sleeps and we'll have our first TTR experience!! We've booked a Deluxe room thru Expedia. Is it worth upgrading to an ocean front or Jacuzzi room? Soooo excited but hope the weather is better than they are forecasting...
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT look at weather forecasts for Cancun, they are completely ridiculous. Right now it says tomorrow is nice, and then rain for 6 days straight, it will not, can not happen. The weather will be perfect, as always.
Ocean front not worth it,,,, Jacuzzi ''room'' is good in Dec to Feb when the weather is cooler and the daylight is shorter, Give you a warm retreat from 5 to 7 pm. The J/room is just a regular room with a large 2 person tub on the outside deck on the ground floor on the quiet side of the resort.
I believe you can easily fit 5 or 6 people in the jacuzzi 2 people tubs....just don't borrow patio furniture from other rooms or the pool for all the other people in then room....security frowns on that. lol just saying....
It all depends on your personal preference. We have had an oceanview room twice now and I liked being able to hang out on the balcony and enjoy the view in the morning before things got going. I am an early riser so I would go out and read/watch the waves while everyone else slept. We have also stayed in jacuzzi rooms twice. In the hot summer months those jacuzzi's would be way too warm for me to utilize and in May we only got in it once. In January though it was nice to head over to after the sun went down and the pool got cold. Having the jacuzzi room made it easier to have friends come hang out to continue the party too since normal rooms are somewhat small.
We've gotten a jacuzzi room upgrade our last 5 trips there... in our case, well worth it. No stairs to climb after a long night of drinking and carrying back a plate of Paty O's hamburgers and hot dogs. We try go get a room as close as possible to the quiet pool bar... on the occassional rainy afternoons- a quick easy trip to get drinks.
