I second this...no matter what kind of room you're in can have a mildew smell due to the humidity. If you're sensitive to smells, it can be kinda funky. I always bring a few sticks of quality Amber resin incense (I like Fred soll brand) which kills the smell almost instantly. I'm sure a good scented candle works just as well.
I must have a terrible nose because I never notice any smell! But before you worry too much about the rooms just remember you won't spend that much time in it On the upside they will all be clean. Our personal favorites overlook the sexy pool, a little extra entertainment value, we have never been close to the Paty O lounge and can imagine they would be a bit noisy. Well that is unless you are still AT the party
0We bring Lysol and spray the intake and all vents, curtains etc. Not only does is smell a bit better... we haven't been sick... we spray 2 or 3 times a week. Have to say though as soon as we get off the plane.. I love the smell... rotten vegetation and jet fuel...Oh yeah !!!
I must remember this for our next trip. I never get sick and the last two trips I got a VERY nasty chest infection. Had to get inhalers and anitbiotics to clear it up.
We went through that one year and took a few months to clear up.. not sure where we picked it up but someone mentioned the A/C and this is what they do... we haven't had any issue since.
We get the temptations suite right on the ocean ground floor. It does not have a outside jacuzzi but it is larger and I like being right on the ocean. I accidentally locked myself out on the patio good thing it was ground floor, only a 5 ft jump to get a new key lol
This post has been very helpful to newbies who are looking to book to go in April! We have been thinking about booking a Jacuzzi room or suite. Are there big differences between the two? The Jacuzzi rooms appeal because they are ground floor by the pool. Where are the other suites? Can you book a Jacuzzi room or suite with an ocean view? Sorry for all the questions but we are trying to get an idea of what room might work best for us
Rooms,,, regular room with tub on balcony most facing in at quiet pool, about 100+ @ night Suites Ocean front rooms, sideways layout so room is long and so is balcony. You have a couch , and the tub is in the bathroom,, a lot more $$. The roses are extra too
