We booked 4 months ahead and didn’t see much price difference between the 2. If it’s the same while arriving I’d consider it. It may be dependent on occupancy rate and if there are any lush suites left. I know when we booked we got the last lush suite for at least the 1st 2 nights. Maybe call the hotel this week?
we debated between the tower (we stayed once) and the oceanfront suite (the one just below the tower prices). unless you get the ones closer to the tower, you will be walking a ways to get back to the room at the end of the night. the room was nice but it was a hike drunk and tired. unless you do a room crawl, nap a lot or host "gatherings" in your room, you only spend enough time to sleep and freshen up. go with your price range. Easiest access to everything is the tower.
Oceanfront Master is the best for looking outwards but I would put my money on Bash on the 6th or 5th floor near the beach as best for balcony shows.
