Totally. You HAVE to bring a stereo system with you. Otherwise you won't survive. It's the bare minimum. Personally, I fly in an entire 50 piece chamber orchestra so I can listen to Vivaldi PROPERLY. None of this digital MP3 garbage. It sounds so horrible. Also remember to bring your own full-size stainless steel commercial-grade refrigerator. Preferably an electric one, because the tiny little ones in the rooms run on common sense, making them inoperable. Just ship it a week ahead of time so it will arrive when you will. And, as a matter of life and death, be certain to bring a couple cans of paint in order to give your room a makeover. Again, if you can afford it, I recommend bringing a reputable interior designer. I refuse to sleep in a room with bare white walls. I would literally die. Literally.
I would suggest packing a small speaker like this one that fits in the palm of your hand and is easy to pack. It comes in handy when the music at Paty'O shuts off at 1am and you still want to listen to tunes. We use the Satechi ST-IPOP Ultra Portable Rechargeable Speaker:
... And Lenni's reply makes me think I just missed this one. Oh well. In any case, everybody have a great time - wish we were headed back soon!
If you have a room next to Paty O's the music starts around 6 and goes till 1:30...I brought speakers for my ipod but couldn't hear them over the music outside the door! It's cool, we were drunk, but earplugs are helpfull.
it's alright for you guys - we have to pack ALL of the essentials you mention plus our four poster bed and chaise (Louis XIV of course - need to relax by the pool in comfort) and because we are flying economy from the UK (knees round our ears for 11 hours) we need to place everything in the overhead locker..... but hey we are going to be there on 14th May so it'll be worth it!!! We'll be the lily white ones with knee prints on our cheeks!!
