We just returned from our first stay and booked the basic garden room. We had a room in the 5000's. It was very quiet and we loved the room. Although, depending on the time of year you go you may want a jacuzzi room. For some reason the pool was not heated last week. The sun in early December starts to go down earlier than other times of the year. The sexy pool started to get shaded around 3 in the afternoon and it was just too cool to stay in because the heater wasn't on. So between 4:00 & 6:00 in the afternoon there was somewhat of a lull because there wasn't anyone in the pool anymore. We thought it would be nice to have a jacuzzi for that time of the day to have people make a visit to your patio and fire up the jacuzzi and socialize. I can see where there are other times of the year where you wouldn't use it at all.

A lot of the crowd last week was talking about how nice it would be to have a large hot tub for late afternoons like the Cabo resort has. It was great for a couple of hours of socializing before dinner.

having not been to cancun but cabo twice, we prefered the jacuzzi suites in cabo because they were relatively inexpensive upgrades. Not anymore though, they are way up in price with desire. So in cancun we just booked the basic garden view room and will love it for what its for.. the bed, the shower, the floor, the walls etc..:)

We like first floor next to Paty-Os. Had one the last 2 visits. We could walk right out the patio door to the Sexy pool. Convenient as well for using the bathroom or grabbing something from the room(like whipped cream?). We don't usually go to bed untill the party is pretty well over with anyway and by that time it is nice to be close(short crawl lol).

I would ask when you check in, but not pay in advance, for an ocean view room. You'll be able to see the room first, if you want, and then decide if the view is worth it. Some rooms will have a nice ocean view, others (like someone else said) will be a view if you lean over your patio or you see a sliver of ocean in between buildings. The only rooms that have an amazing ocean view for sure are the Temptation Suites as they are ocean front. It was nice if the upgrade is free, but not worth paying for, imho.

IF they provided a real butler (like someone to fetch drinks on demand) and had real room service for every meal (not just fruit and toast for breakfast), then I would begin to consider paying for a Temptation Suite again - otherwise, and you can quote me on this, fuck that shit! :aktion034:
