We booked standard room and just plan to ask about an upgrade when we get there. The upgrade on Orbitz was $140 a night for a ocean view. I know if it's available at checking it will be less then half of that.
Last April we got a room by Patty-O. The first couple of days was fine but after 9 nights of non stop music till 3 or 4 am was a bit t much for me.
Had one of these rooms our first time there but on the opposite side, sliders opened to margaritas and the sports pool. It was awesome. Second year we had a more remote, quiet room location and it was lame. Go with the paty-o rooms if you're there to party!
We are in the minority as well, and always request a room off of Patyo's. We stay out pretty late, and its nice to be able to stumble back to the room if you forgot something, costume change, quickie :wink3:, etc at night.
We were in the 2000 series bldg by the quiet pool last year. Even had a little balcony which we never really used. But loved the room. It is not like it's too much to walk to get to anywhere. We were close to the action and restaurants but nice to get away from the party too. We were on the 2nd floor down from the gym. Hopefully we can get the same location in August. U can send in a early registration and include your requests on their webpage ( I think it is about 15 days before your arrival ) and if U get your requests that will be great. But there is no guarantees .... good luck and have fun
If you plan on staying up until the music ends every night then Patty-O will not be a problem at all. If you want to get some rest prior to 4am then do not get a room near Patty-O
Ugh I want a good room near the quiet pool. I don't want a small ass tub though. Hubby is a little over 6 ft. I am no small fry either we don't want a dinky tub we want one we both can fit in. Would like a nice view to boot. Any specific room #s I've heard rooms 1108-1112
We just got back and we had 1112 and loved this room. No stairs looking right at the quiet pool and if you want to Put on a show you always have plenty of lookers
