Last time, we started out in a room fara away from Paty O's, but asked to move because the air conditioner wasn't working. They let us look at a couple of rooms, and we chose one on the 3rd floor right next to Paty O's. The air conditioning was cold, the view from the balcony was great (overlooked the sports pool with a view of the ocean), and the room was huge. The music never bothered us, probably because we were up late every night, but even on the night we took a nap before the festivities, the music wasn't what woke us. It was a friend that was going to eat with us! It was also super convenient and easy for friends to find. We'll be asking for that room again!
I always ask for a Paty O room. I agree it's not for everyone, but I love the convenience. If you're in bed before 3am and don't like loud noise then avoid! The only problem I've had with the noise is that when I've gone to bed before the music has stopped, they seem to know and play all the good stuff. I get mad that I turned in early and missing out!
I have had a room around the bar the last two trips. I think the key is to not get ground floor and to make sure its not on the end by the buffet due to the restaurant noise. I usually go to bed when the music ends so I don't find the party noise to be an issue. I love it there because I'm close to my room at night in the event I have a wardrobe malfunction, makeup touch up, needing to remove the damn high heels etc.
Light sleeper ( BEN ) So we need a room on the quiet side / Sport pool . If I don't sleep don't expect to see me around the pool as I don't want to see anyone lol
We got a patio room on our second trip and loved it so much we requested one on the next trip, great for being central and quick costume changes. On our last trip they didn't have one open whcih turned out well as we both got the flu and were thankful we were in a quiet room as we had a few early nights. Earplugs are very helpful, Ali has to use them for my snoring anyway so she's used to them. When I use them I can't hear a damn thing as my hearing isn't great. Probably due to age and a misspent youth of loud punk rock lol If you don't get a good night's sleep you can always grab some z's in a beach chair the next day TTR vacations aren't really all that restful.
We always thought we would HATE a room right next to Paty O's, but ended up there last year and LOVED it! It was great for changing outfits, switching to flip flops, and grabbing a BC powder so the party can continue! Having my own bathroom in close proximity was a definite plus too! We were probably in room 2103 or 2104 (see map below)...just a few steps and our room was right behind one of the Paty O walls. We really didn't think the noise was bad at all (we've suffered through worse with teams of baseball players running through hotels all night!). The only problem we encountered was the humidity was much worse in that room than others we've stayed in...killed my cell that was in the nightstand drawer
We have always stayed in the 5000 block, which is super super quiet. Can't even hear music from the sexy pool during the day. However, it's a wicked long walk when you are wasted. Might try moving closer to Patio this time.... We will see
