Cancun versus Cabo weather


According to wunderground.com the historical weather in the last 10 years plus for Cancun was warm temps in the 80's, lows average 75 degrees. Days with rain15% to 20 %. Hurricane Wilma (Cat 4) stalled over Cancun in October 2005. But I think that was not the norm. Just something to think about. 85% - 90% humidity during hurricane season.

Los Cabos historically over the past 10 years plus has been very hot and dry. Temps in the 90's. Lows in the 70's.
Chance of rain 2 or 3 % and extremely low humidity.

Cancun is very lively and Americanized. The beaches and water are beautiful.

San Jose del Cabo is more calm and Cabo San Lucas has the restaurants clubs and a very energetic nightlife. The beaches are beautiful (Nikki Beach is a PARTY) but the water in some areas are not swim-able. (consider that before booking if you are all about swimming at the beach) But the cliff top vistas, downtown mall, marina and lavish hotels are beautiful.

 

Welcome Bob and Carol. We have been to Desire Los Cabo twice and loved every minute of it. The nice thing about Cabo is that you can just chill out by the pool if that is what you want, or join in the events going on. As others have said its what you want to be. Cancun seems to have a more of a round the clock party feeling. We know that like us you will enjoy Cabo.
By the way there is a Yahoo group for the Halloween time. its desireweekoctober. Join the group and get to know others going at that time.

We've applied for both & membership is pending. Already got a message from one of them that we can't be approved until we sign up--hoping to get some answers to our wink wink nudge nudge questions before we do! I think desirehalloween2011 in yahoo groups is for those going to Cancun Desire. Desireweekoctober2011 is for those going to Desire Week at Temptations Los Cabos.

 

Not to confuse the issue but back in Apr the two groups were started by to different people, both were set up for Desire Week at Cabo. Somewhere along the way the 2011desirehalloween became a group for Cancun and Desireweekoctober2011 became one for those going to Cabo. If you look at the membership for both groups you will see the same names on both groups, its seems that most of the people going to Cabo are now using the Desireweekoctober2011 only.
Sorry about misleading you Bob and Carol, I owe you a drink at the pool bar at Cabo in Oct. If you have any question you can email us at jstanley704@hawaiiantel.net and we will try to answer them. Once you get approved for the Desireweekoctober2011 group you will see that it looks like a great group going for halloween.
