Rock the Vote: Alisa for Miss Temptation July 2011

While I agree in the past, those that usually joined and made one or two vote for me posts and then disappeared.

This month's contestants seemed to have joined, asked for votes but also have stayed around to participate in other threads too.

Subtle difference but a difference. I guess that’s what people found a little more acceptable.

I'm sure Nancy is a nice, hardworking person (as is Alisa), but her post came off the wrong way to me. I started this thread as a way to support my friend, not to slam the competition. Period. There was no reference to Nancy on this thread with the exception of the phrase "other girl" by another friend.

That reference was, in fact, a quote showing respect for Nancy...as in "wow, she's providing strong competition for our Alisa". So for Nancy to come on to my thread and portray herself as some sort of victim with talk of reminding us/me that she "has a heart and feelings too" blah blah blah...well...it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

Moving forward, let's all play nice, keep the negative/victim talk off the threads and may the best gal win.

Traco, I was not playing the victim, merely stating a fact. I am a sensitive person and those were my feelings. You shouldn't mock me for having feelings especially with the picture you posted. This is supposed to be a fun competition and your friend made it sound like I'm so ugly I shouldn't have even been a threat. Where I come from we play fair, that's the Canadian way and I would never say anything and my friends would never say anything about Alissa and I think I deserve the same respect.

As for me recently being on here, I just recently found out about this forum through a friend. I joined because I thought I could find some nice people with the same interests as me, loving Cancun and loving TTR. And you know what? I have. And I am happy to be on here and I enjoy talking to those that I have met on here. Some of us Canadians living close to Niagara Falls plan on meeting up some time.

All I ask is for mutual respect. Trust me, I think that Alisa is a very beautiful girl and my first reaction when I saw her pictures was wow, she is definitely going to give me a run for my money because, 1) She is beautiful 2) she has a great body and 3) she has the smile of an angel.

Nancy- I agree that you do not have to put someone else down just because you believe that someone else is a better choice. My husband and I were planning on going to Temptation but I am not so sure if there is such childish behavior. I voted for you but my husband was torn between you and Alisa, he has now decided to vote for you and will mention to his friends who recommended we go to Temptation to be sure they vote for you. You seem like a wonderful person and I wish you luck in this competition.

 

Traco-your commentary with the photo againts Nancy is totally not needed. Yes you like Alisa and that is fine. But after the photo from you re Nancy I think everyone should vote for Nancy who is in the contest and does not show such a poor judgment from her friends as did Alisa through you Traco.

 

This is Alisa's husband Jeff. First of all you don't know these people personally.
Secondly, Alisa has never mentioned anything bad about anyone else involved in this contest. We know nothing of Nancy or Laura. All we know is that she is in a competiton against them. She has been sick from stress since this began. And truthfully 20 days may be too long. To punish Alisa for what you feel is poor behavior is ridiculous.
We never attacked anyone for what appeared initially as joining for votes. We have been around too long and have seen it more than a few times. Nancy on the other hand did go out of her way to tell another forum that Alisa joined bc she did. Alisa found that forum just as Nancy did I'm sure - by looking for other areas to generate votes.
Alisa has been nothing but respectful and I take great offense to those who question the integrity and honor of my wife. As would those that met her I'm sure.

As for not going to TTR bc of this. Again ridiculous. Actually it speaks of the bonding that occurs between complete strangers in such a short time.

Anyway for what it's worth that's my two sense.

 

Let's return the focus of the competition back to the two leading ladies, what they are all about, the positive qualities that they represent and their worthiness to be Miss Temptation July 2011.

Nobody is questioning Alisa or why and how she got in the contest. Nor did anyone question Nancy for the same thing. However comments by Traco againts Nancy in the format of the photo was not needed to help Alisa in any way. It is something that Traco may think as being funny but I think its offensive to both competitors in any way. So with that in mind I stand by my comment. Vote for Nancy only because of the type of commentary provided indirectly by Traco.

And to any competitor who gets stressed out over the process then do not enter the contest and stress will not happen.

As for not going to TTR because of any of this is indeed absurd.
