Arriving Jan 29, 2009 Just thought I would start a little chatter since we are barely two weeks away from our trip. We are staying at the Riu Caribe for our first stay in Cancun. We did stay in Playa del Carmen three years ago and we've stayed at Riu properties in the Dominican Republic. At Riu in DR the resort was clean and the service was great. The food was just ok, I hope it's a little better in Cancun but I'm not too worried. Cancun is about a 100 degress warmer than here (Fargo, ND) right now and if cold wasn't enough, we are burried under more than 3 feet of snow. Jan. 29 can't get here soon enough.
you'll have a great time.. the staff is awesome and the view is great. Take a chance to go and visit the Riu Cancun. It's a step up from the Caribe and a nice change once you've eaten everywhere in the Caribe
