Sad news indeed. Our hearts go out to Tracey, family and friends. We met Bob in May of '05, an instant friend, he was just that kinda guy. Lot's of great memories. I too remember his infamous "funnel". I wonder if Debbie does? George and Debbie
Was a very nice service. The outpouring from his friends was amazing. There were over 250 people that attended and about 200 of them came back to the firehouse. Tracy seems to be holding up well. I have a little work left on the video to do, but will get the link up soon. The original was 12 minutes long and won't load on youtube.
Thanks for letting us know about the service Steve. Amazing turn out for an amazing man. If you need hosting for the tribute video just let me know, I will be happy to host it as long as the file is not so huge it will crash the forum. As our friend Bob is laid to rest, so I think it time to lay this thread to rest too, and will unsticky it from the top of the board. The thread will soon drop out of sight, but no one who has met Bob will ever forget the big fella. Perhaps this is a time to reflect on life, the good times and the people you meet along the way you share the good times with. Don't ever neglect it because you never know how long those good times will last. RIP Bob Olsen
Wow... I just saw this... I was fortunate enough to meet Bob down in Ft Lauderdale when Kristen, Carole, Todd and I flew down a couple years ago for Labor Day weekend... meeting up with Mirella and Frank for some debauchery. Bob was the first, and many of us ended up stripping down and running into the ocean in the middle of the night... this I'll never forget. Bob and his buddy Mike were more than hospitable that weekend, and Tracey was a sweetheart. I wish the best for Tracey and Bob's family. RIP Cheezesteak
I can't believe it's been a year but Cheeze will never be forgotten. Tracy spread his ashes in Cancun back in July so I know he's in his happy place R.I.P. Cheeze xoxoxo
