Ahh, yes, now you point it out you can tell its a seperate stadia under construction. I bet the view from that top tear , right at the back is a bit steep, good though none the less . Why the reduction in size ?
even my bossy said that, they lost last night's game because i wasnt there. lalala. and they lost saturday game because i wasnt there. maybe i should show up every single games for mets.. beginners luck, happened to yankee that time too..
Have fun. I spent 17 years growing up in South London when I was younger and although its changed a bit now you can still have a blast. Ian
Ian, they are reducing the size for a few reasons I guess, not the least of which is that they will need room for additional luxury boxes. Baseball teams don't make their money off of ticket sales as much as some sports... especially in NY. Most revenue comes from the regional TV contract and such. here's all the official info on the new stadium, Citi Field: http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/nym/ballpark/citifield_overview.jsp
Looks nice. Different shape pitch to the old one though, I reckon they could get a football pitch in the bottom half of that field. As per the teams catering to coporate hospitality the Football Association ( who have just built a 90,000 seater national stadium and sold 35,00 permnent seats to companies   ) have just done the same thing over here realy pissing off the normal sports fans as we cant get hold of major tickets and most of thier seats are empty whilst there just getting pissed up in the hospitality suites.. Annoys the f*ck out of me  Ian
