Restaurants - Can Women Wear Sandals?

Hi all of you experience Tempation visitors.

According to the hotel web site, "sandals" can not be worn in any of the a la carte restaurants. Is this for real? Or, does this just apply to men only? I feel that most resorts tend to discriminate on the attire for men vs. women...please tell me that strappy sexy sandals are fine?

Women can pretty much wear whatever they want most of the time.
