OMG Val, you hit a home run on this one.

I love L'Escargot. Cannot believe I did not think of it with my suggestions. Sit inside though as the smokers take over outside and the owner smokes. Better to make reservations too. Tiny, and out of the way, but easy to find. Near Yaxchilan/Coba intersection.

Out of curiosity, what would you say the average check is at Peter's?

I was just in Vegas and ate at a couple of fantastic restaurants and was wondering how prices compared?

This can vary tremendously, depending on what you order, but I´d say around 400 pesos per person, with drinks.

Sounds cheap for gourmet. If I could get a date I might give it a try.

That's what I'm thinking T.J - very reasonable for a gourmet-quality meal and drinks! Will have to give it a try.

I have eaten lunch at Peter's...not bad. Talked to Peter for a bit, he was really a nice guy.

For superb Italian cuisine and owned by Italian (authentic cuisine) you must go to Locanda Paola on Bonampak. Excellant!

Go East on bonampak from fountain about a mile or so. It's on the left corner of bonampak & Jurel.
