We fly in at 1:30pm the day of our 1st anniversary, too late to stand in line to get a dinner reservation for that night, is it possible to call ahead to make a reservation just for that night?
Nope! Buffet it is that night for you. Or you could go across the street to the Rio. It wont be a super cheap meal but it will be good! If you have friends already at the resort they could get dinner for 4.
It's a steak place, right across the street from the resort. Hopefully Angiebaby will come back and tell you all about it, as she recently returned from TTR and ate at the Rio whil she was there. I have heard nothing but good things about the restaurant.
It is a Steak House where for about $35 per person you get to stat with salads and sides and then they bring around skewers of all different kinds of meat that they cut you a piece of onto your plate. They keep circling with different types till you say "No Mas". Excellent food, drinks are extra. Not a bad call for the anniversary. However if you want to stay at the resort, try contacting the Front Desk Manager and let him know your situation when you get there. Not saying he can, or if he can you'll like the time slot he has, but he might be able to assist you since it is a special case. Doesn't hurt to ask. Another option is to dress the part, as in complying with the dress code, and heading over to the restaurant of your choice. Explain to the door man your situation of arriving late and it being your anniversary and all.. he might be able to slip you in. If he does, be sure to slip him a tip as you head to the table. Somewhere in there should be something you can use. Jamie
Mr Jackson is the reservation card with universal acceptance, although you could not go wrong with the Rio if you enjoy steak and other meats.
Thank you for all the responses, from the description of rio it is a chuascaria ( a brazilian restaurant) which my brazilian wife loves....so I guess it will be rio's on the 7th!!!
If all else fails you can always go to Casa Rolandi . Very very good food and romantic. It is a bit more expensive than some other places. (Example: bowl of speghetti with meat sauce was $17.00 and chris's steak was about $35.00) But very well worth it. It doesn't open until later in the evening and is down near the party zone. If youdon't mind spending alittle bit more and can't find anything at the resort, check this place out. I can't say enough good about it. And you definitely won't be dissappointed.
