Restaurant closings

Has anyone tried this place called XB Goumet Burgers yet? I passed by it the other night and looked like a fancy place to get a burger.

 

I haven't been there myself, but 2 of my best friends go there every week and rave about it.

 

And where abouts it this burger joint?

 

I am still terrible with street names here, but if you you are on kabah, turn where the Soriana is, go past Caliente and turn left at Carls Jr. Go a few blocks and it is on the right hand side in a fairly large building the says XB on the front. Does that paint a picture? I usually use landmarks when I drive around here.
I think we should start a few food threads so people can suggest different types of restaurants like burgers, pizza, hot wings, etc. A different thread for different types of food.

 

It's near Sushi Ken's and Harmon Hall, right on Avenida Kohunlich. (behind the California buildings, if that helps)

In other words, close to the intersection between La Luna and Kohunlich.

 

What happened to John Grays Downtown? Now it is just called "Downtown" and Chef John is no longer part of the restaurant.

 

The "John Grey" in PDC is still open.

 

So is his restaurant in Puerto Morelos.

 

I know that he had 4 restaurants, but now he is only associated with two. The one in Puerto Morelos and Playa. He does not have anything to do with the Suegra in Puerto Morelos or Downton in Cancun. I was just wondering what happened.
